Nagrado prejme…Julija in Romeo!

Z veseljem sporočamo, da so vsi štirje filmi, ki so jih dijaki Srednje šole Slovenska Bistrica posneli na naši filmski šoli, ki je potekala od lanskega novembra do januarja, prejeli srebrno priznanje na tekmovanja “Slovenščina ima dolg jezik, Književnost na filmu”. In ne samo to film Julija in Romeo je zasedel prvo mesto v kategoriji “1. in 2. letnik gimnazije”. Iskrene čestitke! Upamo, da bodo dijaki pridobljeno filmsko znanje uporabljali še naprej in posneli še kakšen film! Filme si boste kmalu lahko ogledali tukaj na našem blogu.

As you can remember, from last November till this January we held a film workshop for students of high school Slovenska Bistrica, Slovenia. We are happy to say that all four films made at the workshop received silver awards on the competition “Slovenian language has long tongue - Literature though film”. But this is not all; the film Julia and Romeo (Julija in Romeo) won the main award in the category “1st and 2nd grade of Gymnasium”. Congratulations to all! GoShort Student Campus 2013

Leto 2013 se je začelo resnično naporno. Po januarskem Strasbourgu ter februarskem Berlinu in Luxembourgu, se je naša producentka Mojca Pernat, tik pred premiero filma Missing the Moment, udeležila Student Campusa GoShort v Nizozemskem mestu Nijmegen, kamor je bila povabljena kot ena izmed 15 talentiranih mladih filmskih producentov iz vse Evrope. Imela je priložnost pobližje spoznati filmsko industrijo, poslušati številna predavanja o produkciji in distribuciji ter si ogledati mnogo filmov na festivalu Go Short. Ponovno je strokovni javnosti predstavljala naš projekt "Honey, can you take my human for a walk", ki je bil zelo dobro sprejet tako tukaj kot že na European Short Pitch 2013.

The year 2013 started really busy. After the visit of Strasbourg in January and the visit of Beriln and Luxembourg in February and just before our premiere of our film Missing the Moment our producer Mojca Pernat flew to Nijemegen (Netherlands) to take part of GoShort Student campus where she was invited as one of 15 young talented producers from all over Europe. She had the opportunity to take a closer look at the film industry, listen to a lot of great lectures about film production and distribution and to see a lot of films at the short film festival GoShort. She also again presented our new project in the making, the short animation "Honey, can you take my human for a walk" to the industry people. And they were once again blown away as they were at the European Short Pitch 2013 in February.

Premiere of Missing The Moment

Premiera je za nami! Celoten večer, ki ga je povezoval Luka Marčetič, je dodobra navdušil in nasmejal publiko. Po projekciji filma Missing the Moment smo si lahko ogledali še making of in prisluhnili pogovoru z ustvarjalci, kjer smo med drugim izdali od kod ideja za film, kako je potekalo snemanje seks scene in zakaj se je Nives pred snemanjem postrigla. Program je zaključila projekcija filma, ki je nastal na eni izmed naših filmskih delavnic Julija in Romeo, animiranega filma Last Lunch ter filma posnetega z mobilnim telefonom Kriza. Urednemu delu je sledilo druženje ob vinih Ščurek in pijačami pivovarne Laško. Večer smo zaključili ob ritmih filmske glasbe v klubu Rožmarin.

Za tiste ki so zamudili trenutek pa pod besedilom objavljamo nekaj utrinkov.

Še enkrat bi se radi zahavalili celotni ekipi filma. Radi bi se zahvalili tudi vsem, ki ste nam pomagali pri pripravi premiere: Saša Bach, Janja Pernek, Anja Patekar, Rok Deželak, Tjaša Frumen, Ines Kožuhar, Luka Marcetič, Sami Rahim, Aljaž Tepina, Anja Jurše, Ivan Stanojevič, Rene Puhar, Daniel... brez vaše pomoči premiere ne bi izpeljali tako uspešno. Premiere is behind us! The audience really enjoyed the film and the whole program, moderated by Luka Marčetič, which made them laugh again and again. They left the screening hall full of good impressions and feelings. The screening of the film Missing the Moment was followed by the “Making of” and debate with the film crew. We revealed where the idea for the film comes from, how it was on the set of the sex scene and why Nives cut of her hair before shooting started. The program ended with the screening of Julia and Romeo, film made by students at one our film workshops, animated film Last Lunch and film shoot with mobile phone Crisis (Kriza). After the official program the guests were invited to join us in the lobby of Udarnik and enjoy the evening with glass of Ščurek wine and drinks from pivovarna Laško. Everything ended in club Rožmarin where we danced to the sound of film music all night long.

Tonight do not Miss The Moment

Le nekaj ur nas še loči do premiere filma Missing the Moment, ki bo ob 20. uri v mariborskem kinu Udarnik. Po projekciji filma bo sledil še »making of« in pogovor z ustvarjalci. Ob koncu uradnega programa, ki ga bo povezoval Luka Marcetič, pa vas vabimo na sproščeno druženje s filmsko ekipo ob kozarcu vina Ščurek in raznovrstnih pijač Pivovarne Laško. Na koncu pa ne pozabite še na after party in sproščeno druženje z ustvarjalci filma, igralci in ostalo ekipo v prijetni atmosferi R-Kluba v Rožmarinu.

MTM - Peter's room

Produkcija filma Missing the Moment je bil za nas nov izziv, še posebej na področju posebnih efektov, maske in scenografije. Ena izmed scenografsko zahtevnejših scen je bila Petrova soba. Sceno Petrove sobe smo postavili pri Tjaši doma, kjer smo morali premakniti skoraj vse kose pohištva, da smo dosegli želen izgled sobe. Sobo smo nato opremili z rekviziti; petrovimi umetninami, njegovimi osebnimi predmeti, oblekami, itd. Petrove umetnine nam je priskrbela scenografinja Mojca Breg, ki nam je prav tako pomagala pri postavitvi scene. Glede na to da je Missing the Moment kratki film, v njem lahko opazite številne različne obleke oz. kostume. Tako Peter, kot punca v rdečem, sta imela različne kostume v različnih scenah, od uradnih oblek, do sexy spodnjega perila. Spodaj si lahko pogledate kratek video o tem kako smo Tjašino sobo spremenili v Petrovo sobo. O tem kako so potekali posamezni snemalni dnevi in kaj vse se je med snemanjem doagjalo na setu, vam razkrijemo po premieri filma.

Every new project is a challenge for us. Production of short fiction film Missing the Moment was no exception, especially in the field of scenography, special effects and make-up. We shoot »Peter's room« at Tjaša's home. We spend one full day to rearrange the furniture and all props to achieve our desired vision of the set. Our scenographer Mojca Breg helped us with the set design and she provided us with Peter's paintings as well. Missing the Moment is a short film, but you can see a lots of different costumes in it. Peter, as well as girl in red, have a variety of different costumes, from formal suit, to sexy Lingerie. Below you can see a time-lapse of how Tjaša's room was converted into Peter's room. After the premiere we will reveal making of secrets. Stay tuned.

MTM - Meet the Cast

Naš glavni protagonist Peter je mlad talentirani umetnik, ujet v času, ki je neizprosen. Zaradi pritiskov iz okolice je zelo obremenjen z razpletom dogodkov, ki so pomembni za njegovo kariero. Ujet je v trenutku prihodnosti in ne more izživeti sedanjosti. Petra je upodobil Nejc Birsa.

Punco v rdečem, ki spremeni Petrovo življenje, je igrala Nives Brauner. Pretvorba Nives v njen lik je zahteval kar veliko truda za Mojco Škof in Kristjana, saj je Nives v času snemanja imela kratke lase, v scenariju pa je bila zamišljeno dekle z dolgimi lasmi.

V filmu je vlogo dekana umetniške fakultete zaigral Bojan Petek.

Kot statisti se v filmu pojavijo tudi Ines Cerkvenčič, Maja Žigart, Robert Fišer, Bojan Klavžar, Magdalena Veleski, Simon Komar in David Zakelšek. Ker smo pri nekaterih scenah potrebovali veliko število mimoidočih, se kot statisti v filmu pojavijo tudi člani filmske ekipe. Ob tej priložnosti bi se radi zahvalili vsem sodelujočim, ki so si vzeli čas in brez plačila bili pripravljeni sodelovati in pomagati pri projektu.

Our main protagonist Peter, is a young talented artist, caught in inexorable time. He is worrying about development of the events which are important to his career, because of the pressures from outside world. He is caught in moment in future and cannot experience life in present. We casted Nejc Birsa for the role of Peter.

Nives Brauner played the role of Girl in red who changes Peter’s life. But transformation of Nives into her character took a lot of energy and time for our makeup artist Mojca Škof and hairstylist Kristjan. Nives cut of her long hair only few weeks before shooting and we needed long haired girl.

Bojan Petek took the role of art school dean. He was just perfect for the role.

Due to higher production value of the film, we had a bunch of extras as well. Ines Cerkvenčič, Maja Žigart, Robert Fišer, Bojan Klavžar, Magdalena Veleski, Simon Komar and David Zakelšek all helped us to create our film world look much crowded. But they were just not enough sometimes. Sometimes shooting crew members walked in front of the camera as well. We would like to use this opritunity to thank all of you, who volunterly helped us bringing this motion picture to life.

MTM - Meet The Team

Pri ustvarjanju kratkega filma Missing the Moment je sodelovalo kar nekaj ljudi. Jedro ekipe sestavljamo Mitja Mlakar – režiser, scenarist, montažer in VFX, Mojca Pernat – producentka in organizatorica snemanja ter Miha Šubic – asistent režije in montaže.

Pri pripravah in na snemanju pa so nam pomagali še številni sodelavci. Z nekaterimi smo že dolgoročni sodelavci, z drugimi smo sodelovali prvič. Vsekakor je bilo sodelovanje z vsemi zelo zanimivo in zabavno.

Mojca Škof je poskrbela za masko, Kristjan Skamljič pa za frizure, še posebaj velko dela pa je imel z lasuljo. Ja prav ste prebrali lasuljo. O čem govorimo boste lahko prebrali v naslednjih postih. Z njima smo sodelovali že pri preteklih projektih in smo jih z veseljem ponovno povabili k sodelovanju. Tudi tokrat sta odlično opravila svojo nalogo, ki ni bila preprosta.

Pomemben del ekipe sta bili tudi naša scenograifinja Mojca Breg, ki je okrasila lepo in polno detajlov sobo našega glavnega protagonista in naša kostumografinja Tjaša Frumen, ki je med drugim poskrbela za sexy outfit.

“On set "photography” in “making of” material, ki ga boste lahko premierno videli v soboto pa so zagotovili objektivi in kamere naših Makingoffovcev Urške Drofelnik, Roka Deželak in Boštjana Selinšeka.

In nenazadnje to odlično glasbo, ki ponovno doda še en sloj temu filmu, je posebaj za fim napisal naš komponist Tim Žibrat.

Quite a few people participated in creating of the short fiction film Missing the Moment. Members of the core team are; Mitja Mlakar – director, screenwriter, editor and VFX artist, Mojca Pernat – producer and organizer of the shooting and Miha Šubic – assistant director and editor.

We joined forces with bunch of other creative and talented people which all took part in the creation of the film. We already collaborated with some of them before. But we also worked with some of them for the first time and all of us enjoyed the collaboration. In any case, the cooperation with all of them was interesting and fun.

Mojca Škof was in charge of the make-up, Kristjan Skamljič worked on the hairstyles and had a hard time especially with working with a wig. Yes a wig. What we are talking about you will see in future blogs. A vital part of the team were also our set designer Mojca Breg, who decorated the beautiful and full of details room of our main character Peter and Tjaša Frumen who among other things created the sexy costumes.

On set photography and making of material which you will have the opportunity to see for the first time on Saturday, was provided by our "making-of girl and guys" Urška Drofelnik, Rok Deželak and Boštjan Selinšek.

And last but not least the fantastic music which underlays jet another layer to our film was made by our music composer Tim Žibrat.
